This is a 4-quadrant drive for DC motors.
The Gen4 DC is compatible with a wide range of motors, including separately excited motors, permanent magnet brushed motors and series-wound motors.
The Gen4 DC can be configured to precisely control the motor in current control mode, offering true, precise torque control of the motor.
Speed control is also available.
All motor types are driven by four-quadrant armature control, providing immediate motor torque and enhanced protection against system failure.
Integrated logic circuits and vehicle control functionality mean that VCU functionality can be configured in the Gen4 DC unit.
